Denmark in one paragraph
Sales calls and doorstep visits to Danish consumers are banned unless the consumer asked for them (Consumer Contracts Act s. 4). Four product types may be cold-called: books, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, insurance, and rescue or patient transport subscriptions. People on the Danish Robinson list may not be called even about those, or sent marketing addressed to them by name (Consumer Ombudsman). Email and SMS marketing generally need prior consent.
What that means for your launch
| Channel | Can you use it? |
|---|---|
| Addressed mail | Yes, after checking the Robinson list |
| Unaddressed mail | Yes, but respect "Reklamer – Nej tak" stickers |
| Cold calls, exempt products | Yes, after checking the Robinson list |
| Cold calls, anything else | No. Only people who asked to be called |
| Door-to-door | No |
| Email, SMS | Only with prior consent, as a rule |
For energy, telecom, alarms, solar and similar products, the phone is effectively closed unless you have valid consent, and the Danish Consumer Ombudsman enforces it. In April 2025, an electricity company paid DKK 700,000 for calls to 27 consumers without valid consent combined with misleading sales talk (source).

One check, in one place
Launch campaigns usually involve several partners: a local agency, a data vendor, a call centre, a print house. The risk is that each assumes another has checked the list. We put the check in one fixed place, typically right before a list is used, and give you a check receipt for each campaign.
We check your lists, or connect to your partners' workflows. Setup is included in the annual plan.
